How to practice meditation with crystals?

  1. Choose the right crystal for you
    • Understand the properties of crystals: Different crystals are believed to have different energies and uses. For example, amethyst helps increase the spiritual awareness and calm emotions, so it's normally used to enhance concentration and inner peace during the meditation. Rose quartz is associated with love and emotions, so if you want to manifest the harmonious relationships or romantic love, it's a good choose. Citrine is often used to attract the energy of wealth and success, and its bright color is believed to resonate with the energy of abundance.
    • Choose crystals based on your intuition: You can also choose crystals based on your intuition. In front of a pile of crystals, when you are attracted by a certain crystal, you can choose it no matter what your manifestation goal is, because this intuitive attraction means there is some special energy connection between you and this crystal.

 

  1.  Prepare a space for meditation
    • A quiet space: Look for a quiet, cozy, undisturbed space to meditate in there. It could be your bedroom, study room, or a quiet corner. Turn off your phone and other devices that might be distracting, and draw the curtains to make the light soft.
    • Cleanse crystals and space energy: Before using crystals for meditation, cleanse them. Rinse the crystals under the running water for a few minutes (Note: some crystals are not suitable for long-term soaking, such as salt crystals), or place the crystals under moonlight for a whole night to remove the previous negative energy. At the same time, purify the energy of the meditation space by burning incense or using the special sound.

 

  1. Enter the state of meditation
    • Take a comfortable posture: sit on a comfortable cushion with your legs crossed, keep your spine straight and hands resting naturally on your knees. If you sit in a chair, keep your back straight and your feet flat on the ground. Hold your crystals in hands or place them on a small table in front of you, so that you can easily touch or look at it.
    • Deep breath and relax: Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, inhale the air deeply into your abdomen, feel the expansion of your abdomen, and then exhale slowly, allowing your body and emotions to gradually relax. With each exhalation, imagine your body is getting heavier and more relaxed, and withdraw your attention from external interference to your body and crystals.

 

  1. Connect with your crystals
    • Visual connection: In a relaxing state, focus your attention on the crystal. Imagine the crystal emits a soft light, which gradually surrounds your body. For example, if you are using a rose quartz, imagine the pink light is full of love and warmth, wrapping you like a soft veil, allowing you to feel the energy of love.
    • Feel the energy of the crystal: Feel the energy of the crystal with your heart. Touch the crystal with your hands and feel its temperature and texture. If the crystal is smooth, feel the smooth touch; if it is angular, feel its shape. Meanwhile, try to feel the energy that the crystal conveys to you, whether it is calming, exciting or powerful, and immerse yourself in this energy.

 

  1.  Set a manifestation intention
    • Clarify your intention: Under the state of connecting to your crystal energy, make sure what you want to manifest in your mind. The intention should be specific, clear, and positive. For example, if you want to manifest health, don't just say "I want health", but say "I want to have a vibrant body and live energetically every day."
    • Infuse the crystal your intention: transmit your intention to the crystal through your thoughts and emotions. Imagine your intention as a beam of light flowing from your heart to the crystal, and crystal absorbs the light, amplifies it and preserves it. Repeat your intention in your heart, and let the intention resonate in the energy field between you and the crystal. 

 

  1. Meditate
    • Focus: After setting your intention, keep meditating for a while. Enjoy yourself in the energy and peace that the crystal brings to you. Let your consciousness stay in this state. If distracting thoughts arise, do not resist, just gently bring your attention back to the crystal and your intention. You can maintain this state for 10-30 minutes, depending on your situation.
    • End the meditation: When you are ready to end the meditation, slowly withdraw your attention from the crystal and your intention. Move your fingers and toes, feel your body touching the ground, then gently open your eyes. Put the crystal in a safe place. And in order to save the energy of crystals, the place need to have the access to the sunlight and moonlight. In your daily life, no matter when you see your crystal, you recall your intention and allow this energy to keep working in your daily life.
